Nicolas Maduro’s regime continues to deny Venezuelans fuel. One of the sectors that needs it the most are public transportation and they are affected in all the national territory.
The Carabobo State Transport Union (SUT) warned that only 15% of all public transport units are working due to the shortage of gasoline and the difficult access to it.
Members of the SUT denounced that those who are lucky enough to refill their transport units only have access to 70 liters of fuel.
“There are more than 300 vehicles queuing for gasoline. There are some gas stations that do not want to sell the diesel to the public transportation units,” indicated Marleni Campos, secretary of finance of the SUT.
Campos also warned that this situation also puts users at risk due to the Covid-19 pandemic. She warned that the bus stops remain crowded with passengers and that this could increase the cases of coronavirus infection.
