After waiting for more than three hours at the Palace of Justice in Caracas, the presentation of Juan José Márquez, uncle of the President (e) of Venezuela, Juan Guaidó; his lawyer Joel García, denounced that he had not been transferred and that this could be due to a “common practice” to present him in the very early morning hours and assign him a public defender.
“The transfer has not materialized. At this hour 8:32 pm we have just been evicted by the security personnel of Palacio de Justicia alleging that there are no more presentations. It could be the stratagem to present him in the very early morning hours to designate him a public defender and leave him without a defense for a long time until a private defense can be designated and the minutes of the process can be known”.
He said they don’t know what they could charge him with, but they “could make up a lot.”
He said that no article of clothing worn can be declared (at the Seniat offices in the Venezuelan airports) because it is for personal use.
“It is an absurd excuse to apprehend a relative of Guaidó and affect him directly. Cristopher Figuera (former head of the Sebin) said it, that they wanted to apprehend Guaidó’s mother, but they couldn’t.”
