The residents from various sectors of Maracaibo rated the quality of the water that was distributed over the weekend in the capital of Zulia State as unacceptable.
With samples of the turbidity of the water, the citizens demonstrated the sediments that could generate unhealthy conditions in the users of this public service.
Rafael Ramírez Colina, municipal leader of the Primero Justicia party and a Deputy to the National Assembly elected in 2015, lashed out at the Hidrológica del Zulia for the poor state of the water that is delivered through water mains.
“We continue to demand that there be working treatment plants to make water drinkable in Zulia and that crystalline water reaches us, as it should be, if you do not know how to make water drinkable, then resign,” Ramírez emphasized to the authorities of the Zulia State hydrology company.
Along with the neighbors also protested Avilio Troconis, Deputy to the 2015 National Assembly, who described Hidrolago as a monument to laziness. “Here is the corruption, the inefficiency of a government that gives Zulia a chocolate water, forcing citizens to pay up to $ 40 for water from tanker trucks.”
The protesters left bottled samples of the dirty water from each of its sectors at the doors of the Hidrológica del Zulia , to demonstrate the poor quality of the vital liquid.
Jose Bermudez, a member of the PJ party, described as a mockery the fact that after waiting 35 days for the water to arrive through mains in Maracaibo, with the excuse that they were treating the water, what came out had a very high in sediment content caused by rain runoff in the reservoirs, “but even after a month and a half without water it is distributed just as cloudy,” he specified.
