Social Security kidney patients in San Juan de los Morros, Guarico state, reported water problems at this public health center.
They said that they have not received the liquid since December of last year for the treatment plants, so they have been receiving it in tanker trucks, but they are not enough.
“Since December last year we drag problems and already solved some, not all, like the machines repair, the air conditioning repair, but the most important ones are missing, which is water and lack of oxygen,” said patient Maria Aguiar.
They assured that there are patients whose lives are at risk due to the crisis in the health centre.
“There are several lives, 29 lives that are always endangered of going without dialysis, of staying in a critical situation, as right now there is a partner who needs oxygen and there is no one to solve this problem,” added Aguiar.
Social Security Hospital in this part of the country has more than 30 patients who depend on dialysis machines, some of whom come from other municipalities in the region and must travel for up to three hours three times a week to complete their treatment.
