The Minister of Defense of the dictatorship, Vladimir Padrino López, recognized his dictatorial character as General of the National Armed Force, acknowledging that under his command no opposition to the dictatorship will exercise political power in Venezuela.
Padrino López defined the National Armed Force under his leadership as “Bolivarian and revolutionary” and evidenced the abuse not only to the Venezuelan people but also to the Constitution of the Republic.
“They will not pass, they will never in lifebe political power as long as there is a Bolivarian National Armed Force (FANB) like the one we have today, anti-imperialist, revolutionary and Bolivarian. I think it’s good that they understand this,” he said.
The Constitution of the Republic establishes the mechanisms established to define those who lead the Venezuelan State. Only the citizens have the constitutional power to elect the rulers.
The statements made by the Minister of Defense of the dictatorship ratify that even with the conditions to hold free elections in Venezuela, the Armed Forces under his command will not respect or recognize the popular vote.
