The NGO Venezuelan Program of Education-Action in Human Rights (Provea), urged this Saturday that the State allows the entry of humanitarian agencies to protect Venezuelans from the Coronavirus pandemic.
“It is urgent that the humanitarian agencies be installed in the country and be allowed to carry out their humanitarian work without obstacles and with the greatest collaboration. The most vulnerable sectors must be protected, and most of them lack water and waste collection services,” the organization explained through its official Twitter account.
Provea requested that sectors like retirees, who should not leave their homes, be given an answer so that they can receive their pensions directly and thus avoid standing in long lines at banks and being exposed to the virus.
“The emergency must be addressed in dialogue with all sectors of the health area and others that can contribute, and it is urgent to improve the working conditions of health personnel so that they are able to respond effectively to the demands that the situation imposes,” it said.
