Queues to fill the gas tank are back in Lara state. None of the strategies tried by the management of Carmen Meléndez has accomplished an acceptable outcome, so users waste up to three and four hours in the queues to be able to fill the tanks in their vehicles.

To this is you need to add a very deficient water, electricity and cooking gas supply that worsens by the day in the state.

Of the 104 service stations located throughout the state of Lara, only 30% are operational.

“They (the regime) are to blame for this misfortune here”,  said one citizen while waiting to stock his vehicle. “One wastes two or three hours in line to get gas. We’re running out of life”, he stressed.

The most recent action of the state administration was to take over three service stations in order to normalize the fuel supply, an action that the Barquisimetans do not see as positive, because they assure that “everything that Chavismo touches, ends it.”

They also affirm that the military is there to guard and not to manage, and that is where the economic and social disaster in Venezuela comes from “because they are incompetent.”

According to the directive of the Lara Service Station Workers’ Union, the order is that the drivers of the gandolas that leave the PDVSA Distribution Plant located in Maporal, Lara state, are to deliver only 12 thousand liters of gasoline to each service station.

Meanwhile, Larenses continue to see how the hours of their lives are wasted in a queue, not only to buy food or medicine, but also to refuel their vehicles.
