“This is the clear message that we give to the international community through the Popular Consultation. This mechanism will be active for monitoring the process in view of achieving the restoration of institutions and reinstatement of democracy,” said the former magistrate emerita of the Supreme Court of Justice at a press conference.
For his part, the first coordinator Enrique Colmenares Finol, affirmed that: the National Organizing Committee for the Popular Consultation, the High Citizen Council, and the respective regional and municipal promoter committees and the thousands of freedom points nationwide, “are committed to fulfilling the mandate of the sovereign people expressed in the binding Popular Consultation and we responsibly assume the mandate to make effective the cessation of the usurpation.”
He praised the Venezuelans, the National Assembly and the Interim President, Juan Guaidó, for the support they gave to this great constitutional citizen participation that raised the voice. The sovereign people imposed themselves on the oppression and kidnapping of freedom and democracy.
