The president of the Caracas College of Nurses, Ana Rosario Contreras, reiterated this Saturday that the health union needs supplies and personal protection equipment to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Health workers, at this moment we do NOT need applause, we need supplies, personal protection equipment to avoid getting infected,” said Contreras through her official Twitter account.
In this sense, the union representative indicated that currently the hospitals do not have the primary equipment to attend to those infected with the virus.
“We need respirators and enough beds to attend to the cases,” she added.
Finally, Rosario stressed that they need a decent salary that allows them to supply their homes with food.
