.- We announce to the national and international community our participation in the regional and municipal process of November 21st, 2021, within the card of the Democratic Unity Table (MUD). We made this decision mostly after an extensive and difficult internal deliberation process that had the participation of local, regional and national leaders. We are moved by the difficult situation our country is going through, the sense of urgency to find permanent solutions to our sufferings and the purpose of strengthening unity.
.- We know that these elections will not be fair or conventional elections. The dictatorship has imposed serious obstacles that put the Venezuelan people’s expression of change at risk. However, we understand that they will be a useful fighting ground to strengthen citizenship and promote the true solution to the serious crisis in our country: free presidential and legislative elections. We will organize, mobilize and strengthen ourselves in unity at the service of the democratic re-institutionalization of Venezuela.
.- We emphasize that this decision complements the efforts being made in Mexico and points to a peaceful and negotiated solution. An organized and mobilized country can raise its voice with greater force to demand democracy, the re-institutionalization of powers, and lift Venezuelans out of the misery and poverty in which they are now submerged.
.- We recognize the work, effort and dedication of all Venezuelans who have remained firm in this fight, which has become extensive. We must especially highlight the work of men and women who are active in political parties or are part of social organizations. Likewise, we appreciate the unwavering support of the free world and the international allies of the people of Venezuela. This decision summons us and demands the best of all. In unity we will move firmly and optimistically towards democracy.
.- We assume the commitment to redouble our efforts to motivate the people of Venezuela to be part of this episode of this struggle and to ensure that on November 22nd we have managed to advance on the path that will lead us to solve the serious crisis in Venezuela: a national agreement and free presidential and parliamentary elections.
