The Venezuelan teachers’ union announced Friday its support to the mobilization called by President Juan Guaidó for March 10th, where they will deliver the National Conflict Report Act.
Falime Hernandez, president of the Federation of Unionized Education Workers (Fetrasined) said they will protest for the union rights of the teachers since the salary they receive does not cover even a third of their needs.
“On March 10th we will accompany the President (e) to make labor petitions. Unity is key to success,” said Hernandez.
Furthermore, the general secretary of the Venezuelan Teachers’ Federation (Fetramagisterio), Gualberto Mas y Rubi, warned that the teachers decided to support President Guaidó since “the children are not attending the schools. The work of educators is a gift,” he ended.
