“We are not superheroes, we are human beings with families”, doctors demand vaccination due to increased mortality from COVID

The organization Médicos Unidos de Venezuela, reported that in the last 9 days 6 doctors, solely in Carabobo, have died with COVID-19 symptoms and have not been counted in the official reports of victims of coronavirus in Venezuela

Jorge Pérez, director of United Doctors of Venezuela, expressed “We are tired of saying this, we are not superheroes, we are human beings with families, with dreams to fulfill.”

Likewise, the healthcare professional denounced that more than 80% of the workers in the healthcare sector have not been immunized against the coronavirus

“Where are the vaccines for the personnel of the Carabobo Hospital, the González Plaza Oncological Hospital, the Maternity of the South, the outpatient clinics? Hospitals are about to collapse and the situation may get out of hand,” he warned.

Likewise, the Carabobo State doctor questioned that in the vaccination days, leaders of the dictatorship and the military were attended to before any of the healthcare personnel.
